I'm Mehmet Tuna Özkalkanlı, a Master's student in Computer Science, specializing in Software Engineering at the University of Antwerp since September 2026.
My current interests lie mainly in software modelling and formal methods, but I also enjoy functional programming, algorithms, and object-oriented development. I like understanding how things work, experimenting with different approaches, and finding elegant solutions to interesting problems.
Before moving to Antwerp, I completed my Bachelor's degree in Computer Science at the University of Caen Normandy (UNICAEN), France.
Outside of university, music is a big part of my life. I play guitar, listen to a lot of heavy metal and alternative rock, and have a particular soft spot for Iron Maiden.
I'm originally from İzmir, Turkey, and a big supporter of Altay SK, for better or (more often lately) worse. Having spent a few years in France and now living in Belgium, I've grown pretty fond of discovering new places, meeting different people, and experiencing different cultures.
And, of course, I'm always up for grabbing a drink with friends.
